Pak Mail specializes in making your small move as easy as possible. We handle all the details from pickup, packing and delivery to your business or residence. We offer two types of service: 1) Freight Delivery and 2) Blanket/Van Wrap with inside delivery.Getting an Estimate
The information needed to prepare your estimate varies depending on the type of service you require. For most estimates, we will need your name, the pick-up and destination locations (zip code or city/state), and a list of the items you wish to ship. We can estimate average dimensions and weights for most items, but please provide us with measurements for specialized or oversized items.
Also, we will ask that you note any special circumstances such as stairs, elevator only access, special parking requirements for our truck, multiple locations for pick up etc…. This will enable us to give you a more accurate estimate.
The final piece of information we require for an accurate price quote is your choice of delivery options, freight delivery or inside delivery.

Scheduling a Pick-up
We can usually schedule a pickup within 1-3 days of booking. In time-sensitive shipments, please notify us at least one week prior to the target pick-up date. Upon arrival, our crew of professional movers carefully load and inventory your items while securing your shipment on the truck. Any necessary pre-packaging will occur onsite in order to protect your shipment while it is in transit to our warehouse. Final packaging will take place at our warehouse.
Packaging
Upon arrival at our warehouse, our experienced crew will carefully unload and package your items for shipping. Depending on the nature of your items, there are several ways your shipment may be packaged. The most common method of packaging involves either individually boxing the items or wrapping and consolidating them in a heavy-duty container. Most furniture items are wrapped in furniture wrap and then shrink-wrapped and individually cartonized or consolidated into large cartons with Styrofoam cushion. In the case of fragile items, such as glass, marble or artwork, crating in wood may be necessary. Once your items have been individually packaged, they will be placed onto shipping pallets and secured with plastic shrink-wrap and strapped. In all cases, our packaging standards exceed trucking requirements.
Shipping/Transit Times
Once your shipment is properly packaged, it will be released for shipment. Special care is taken to ensure that your items arrive to their destination safe and secure.
Total transit time will vary depending on a combination of factors (packing requirements, distance, time of year, weather and area of the country or world), but the average is 2 - 3 weeks from the time of pick up. Pak Mail also offers expedited and time-definite services should you have specific delivery dates in mind.Freight Delivery
Freight Delivery is the most economical option. This service provides ground delivery of your packaged goods to the curb, driveway, carport or garage of your residence/ business. Under the terms of this service, you will be responsible for unpacking the crate or pallet, bringing the items inside, and disposing of packaging materials. Once your shipment arrives at the local servicing terminal, you will be contacted to set up a delivery date and approximate time.
Blanket Wrap/ Inside Delivery
Blanket Wrap Delivery is the traditional type of service. All items are picked up and secured inside the truck and protective wrapped. Our delivery agent will call at least 24 hours prior to being in your area to schedule your inside delivery of your items. Your shipment will be consolidated with other shipments, so delivery times can vary and are subject to change.
Final Charges
Once your shipment is packaged and weighed, our operations department will contact you to review and collect final charges. Payment is due prior to the release of your shipment. Please remember that the final cost of your shipment will be based upon the actual, final shipping weight (including packaging materials) and/or final inventory of items shipped.
Declared Value Coverage
Pak Mail provides Declared Value Coverage for up to $50,000 for loss or damage on all shipments for an additional fee.
Declared Value Coverage is not available for pack/crate only jobs.International Shipping
Pak Mail offers worldwide services. Specializing in small moves, the most common service used is Economy Air Freight. Either will call at port or delivery to directly to the recipient is available.
